Saudi Arabia has launched a Youth Development Strategy aimed at boosting young people's participation in the workforce and in the country's economic and social development. The strategy is linked to Vision 2030 and runs through 2030.
The plan is built around five main pillars and 10 strategic goals, and depends on cooperation with more than 30 government and private entities. It targets the integration of Saudi youth into 24 key sectors across the national economy.
What the strategy focuses on
Its priorities include economic empowerment, community participation, education and lifelong learning, health and wellbeing, and national identity and religious values. Together, these pillars aim to widen the opportunities available to young Saudis and strengthen their role in shaping the future.
Alongside the strategy, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development continues to run youth-empowerment programs focused on social participation and labor-market participation. A dedicated youth-empowerment channel is available on the ministry's platform.
For the community, the move signals a broader push to open doors for young people entering the job market and to encourage active involvement in society. No public fee was identified for the strategy itself, and no timeframe beyond 2030 was announced.
