The Saudi national football team pressed ahead with its preparations in Jeddah on September 21 and 22, 2026, as it counts down to its opening match of Gulf Cup 27 against Kuwait.
The sessions were held at King Abdullah Sports City under head coach Georgios Donis. Training focused on ball-possession work along with tactical drills covering both defensive organization and attacking movement, as the technical staff fine-tuned the squad's shape ahead of the tournament.
Saudi Arabia will face Kuwait on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. Saudi time. The game will be staged at Alinma Stadium inside King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah.
The team's final training session is scheduled at the same venue, with the first 15 minutes open to the media before the coaching staff completes closed preparations.
The Gulf Cup remains one of the most followed regional competitions among fans in the Kingdom, drawing strong interest from both residents and expats across Riyadh, Jeddah and the wider Gulf. The opener in Jeddah gives supporters an early chance to back the national side on home soil.
