Saudi Arabia Wins Formula E Best Host Country Award

Saudi Arabia has been named the first-ever recipient of Formula E’s new “Best Host Country” award, presented during the 2025/26 End of Season Awards ceremony held in London on 17 August 2026.

The category was created by the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship to honor the destination that sets the global benchmark for event delivery, infrastructure, and partnership in electric racing. The recognition highlights Saudi Arabia’s record of hosting the championship since 2018, beginning with the Diriyah E-Prix near الرياض and later expanding to events in جدة.

Hosting and organization in the Kingdom are led by the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation and the Saudi Motorsport Company, under the supervision of the Ministry of Sport. The award reflects the country’s investment in motorsport-ready infrastructure, including the Jeddah Corniche Circuit and event facilities in الدرعية.

The recognition underlines the Kingdom’s growing role as a recurring host for world-class electric racing rounds and its wider push to bring major international sporting events to residents and fans across the country.

Saudi Arabia is scheduled to host a GEN4 era season-opening doubleheader for Formula E on 18–19 December 2026 in جدة, reinforcing the status that contributed to the Best Host Country recognition and giving local motorsport fans another marquee event to look forward to.
