Saudi Forums Tackle Traffic and Urban Mobility

Discussions at the Riyadh Economic Forum have placed traffic congestion and urban mobility in the spotlight, examining conditions in major Saudi cities including Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam. The talks looked at the causes of congestion, its economic effects, and possible solutions for smoother movement across urban areas.

The forum's 12th session is scheduled for 12–14 October 2026, providing a platform to continue examining how cities can manage growing mobility demands.

A wider focus on mobility

The conversation around transport will also feature at the Saudi Intermobility Expo 2026, set for 30 November–2 December 2026 at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Center in Riyadh. The expo is free to attend.

Its Global Mobility Forum will address integrated mobility, congestion management, urban access, smart infrastructure, public transport, intelligent transport systems, and parking — topics that touch the daily lives of residents and commuters across the Kingdom.

For the community, smoother traffic flow and improved public transport mean shorter commutes, easier access to work and services, and better preparation for the large international events the Kingdom will host. As the two 2026 gatherings approach, they offer a window into how Saudi cities are planning to keep people and goods moving efficiently.
