The Saudi Sports for All Federation and King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah signed a memorandum of understanding in June 2026 to promote physical activity and community sports across the university campus.
The agreement covers a range of student-focused sports programs, sporting events, participation activities, and community-sports initiatives. Under the pact, King Abdulaziz University will provide and prepare sports facilities, support logistics, and encourage students to take part, while the federation will oversee the quality and operational standards of the joint programs and events.
Initial activities include running races and motivational programs, with organizers aiming for at least 500 people to participate in sports programs and events each year.
Why it matters
The partnership brings organized, regular physical activity closer to students and the wider campus community, encouraging a healthier and more active lifestyle. By combining the university's facilities with the federation's programming standards, the initiative is designed to make sport more accessible and to build lasting participation habits among young people.
No fees, registration charges, validity period, application steps, or government-platform procedures were announced for the memorandum.
