Riyadh Schools Shift to Online Classes for One Week

In-person classes in Riyadh schools were suspended for one week, with lessons moved to remote learning through the Madrasati platform. The arrangement covered students, teachers, educational staff, and administrative staff alike.

the online learning ran from Sunday through Thursday. Access to the Madrasati platform was provided free of charge, while some schools used other approved platforms such as Rawdhati or Classera.

The move was described as a temporary measure. In later updates, Riyadh schools resumed in-person classes following a new directive from the ministry.

Why it matters

For families in Riyadh, the shift meant children continued their lessons from home without interruption to the academic schedule. The remote setup ensured that both learning and administrative work carried on as usual during the suspension period.

Parents and students are advised to confirm the platform used by their individual school, as arrangements varied between Madrasati, Rawdhati, and Classera. With classes now back on campus, the temporary online phase has ended and regular attendance has been restored.
