Riyadh, Diriyah Extend Remote Learning to Oct 22

Remote learning across all schools in Riyadh City and Diriyah Governorate has been extended for another week, continuing until Thursday, 22 October 2026. The decision applies to students, teaching staff, and both educational and administrative employees.

During this period, classes will continue through the Madrasati platform and other approved educational platforms. Families will not be charged any fees to access the remote-learning sessions, ensuring all students can keep up with their studies from home.

The extension means that in-person attendance remains suspended at schools in the affected areas until the stated date. Teaching and administrative teams are expected to carry out their duties remotely in line with the same arrangement.

For the many families across Riyadh and Diriyah, the move offers clarity on the week ahead, allowing parents and students to plan their routines around online learning. Schools are encouraged to maintain regular communication with students and guardians to support continuity of education.

No conditions for a return to in-person classes, nor any arrangements for the period after 22 October 2026, have been announced so far. Students, parents, and staff are advised to stay updated through official school channels for any further guidance.
