Riyadh, Diriyah Extend Remote Learning to Oct 22

Schools across Riyadh City and Diriyah Governorate will continue with remote learning for an additional week, with classes running online until Thursday, 22 October 2026, corresponding to 11 Jumada al-Awwal 1448 AH.

The decision applies to all male and female students, as well as teaching and administrative staff in the affected areas. Lessons will continue to be delivered through the Madrasati platform and other approved educational platforms, allowing students to keep pace with the academic schedule from home.

No in-person reopening date beyond 22 October 2026 has been announced. Families are advised to follow official updates for any further changes and to ensure students are logged in and ready for their scheduled online sessions.

Why it matters

The extension gives families in Riyadh and Diriyah time to plan daily routines, childcare, and work arrangements for the coming week. With learning continuing online, parents are encouraged to check that students have stable internet access and working devices to avoid missing lessons.

Access to the Madrasati platform remains available to students and staff, ensuring that teaching and assessment can continue without interruption during the remote-learning period.
