94 Media Scholarships for Young Saudis in 2026

A new round of scholarships aims to prepare young Saudis for careers in the Kingdom's growing media and creative industries. The Saudi Media Scholarship Program, offered under the "Wa'ed" pathway of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program, has confirmed 94 scholarships for 2026, combining overseas study with practical training linked to real sector needs.

The scholarships are distributed across several academic levels: 21 master's scholarships, 56 bachelor's scholarships, 11 diploma scholarships, and 6 training scholarships. Students will study in the United Kingdom, the United States, Spain, and Canada.

The program was activated in February 2026 through agreements with nine media companies: MBC Group, OneGroup, Thohoor Media, Hwadi, Peninsula Pictures, Salhm, Loba, Jether Production, and Waves. These partnerships tie study and training directly to employment opportunities within the sector, giving graduates a clearer path into local media careers.

How to apply

Opportunities are announced by the participating companies, while applications are submitted through the Ministry of Education's Safeer platform. Academic and selection requirements vary depending on the scholarship, the institution, and the participating company. Candidates should review the specific criteria before applying.

For the community, the initiative offers young Saudis a structured route into film, television, production, and digital content at a time when the Kingdom's creative economy is expanding rapidly. By linking international education to local job needs, the program supports the development of homegrown talent across media and entertainment. Applicants are advised to follow the official Safeer platform and the announcements of participating companies for accurate details and deadlines.
