20,000 Saudis to Gain Digital Skills by 2030

The Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has signed a strategic partnership with Snap aimed at equipping more than 20,000 Saudi nationals with digital skills by 2030. The agreement was announced during LEAP 2026 in Saudi Arabia.

The initiative will be delivered through the Saudi Digital Academy and will cover a broad range of fields, including technology, digital marketing, content creation, augmented reality, spatial computing, and digital safety and well-being.

The programme is built around three main components: a Center of Excellence focused on talent development, an Innovation Center for emerging technologies and experimentation, and a Digital Sustainability Initiative to promote digital trust and responsible participation.

Who can benefit

The partnership identifies Saudi university students, graduates and working professionals as eligible groups. It aims to strengthen local skills in fast-growing digital sectors and support the wider goals of building a skilled national workforce.

For the community, the announcement points to expanding opportunities in the digital economy, from marketing and content creation to advanced areas such as augmented reality and spatial computing. These are among the most in-demand skills for both employment and entrepreneurship.

At this stage, specific course schedules, intake dates, eligibility rules, certificates, fees and application links have not been publicly specified. No fee in Saudi Riyal has been announced, and no public registration procedure has yet been released. Interested applicants should follow updates through the Saudi Digital Academy and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. The partnership target runs until 2030.
