Saudi Non-Oil Exports Up 155% Since 2016

Saudi Arabia's non-oil exports have grown by 155% compared with 2016, the Kingdom's Crown Prince announced on 30 September 2026, underscoring the continued push to diversify the national economy beyond oil.

The statement highlighted the long-term trajectory of the Kingdom's non-oil sector, which sits at the heart of ongoing economic transformation efforts under رؤية السعودية 2030. The announcement did not include a specific total value in ريال سعودي, nor any changes to fees, services, or procedures.

Recent monthly figures offer a snapshot of the sector's current activity. In July 2026, Saudi non-oil exports — including re-exports — reached SAR 24.5 billion. However, national non-oil exports excluding re-exports fell by 14.8% year-on-year during the same month.

Earlier in the year, the picture was similarly mixed. In the first quarter of 2026, non-oil exports excluding re-exports stood at approximately SAR 57.8 billion, a decline of 9.1% compared with the same period a year earlier.

For residents and the wider business community, the long-term growth signals the Kingdom's steady effort to broaden its sources of income and strengthen industries outside the energy sector. A more diversified export base can support job creation, encourage investment, and build greater economic resilience over time.

No new application process, service channel, fee, or validity period is associated with this announcement. It was shared as part of a broader review of the Kingdom's economic performance.
