Saudi Premium Residency: Investor & Entrepreneur Routes

Investors and entrepreneurs seeking long-term status in Saudi Arabia can apply for Premium Residency entirely online through the official Saudi Premium Residency Center portal at pr.gov.sa. The process runs through this dedicated channel and is not handled through other government platforms.

Two main products are available. The Unlimited Duration Premium Residency grants permanent residency for a one-time government fee of SAR 800,000 for the primary applicant, with no annual renewal fee. The Limited Duration Premium Residency costs SAR 100,000 is valid for one year, and is renewable annually as long as conditions are met and the fee is paid.

Investor and entrepreneur categories

Category-based products — covering investors, entrepreneurs, real estate owners, special talent, and gifted applicants — use a standard administrative application and processing fee of SAR 4,000. This fee is not an investment amount and does not replace the required capital thresholds or the main product fees.

The Business Investor Premium Residency requires a qualifying investment of at least SAR 7,000,000 in a Saudi business, along with a job-creation requirement of typically at least 10 employees within two years. It grants conditional permanent residency once the investment and employment conditions are met and maintained, with an application and processing fee of SAR 4,000.

For startups, the Entrepreneur Premium Residency includes multiple categories. The standard early-stage category (Category 1) requires funding of at least SAR 400,000 across one or more rounds from an accredited investment entity, plus minimum equity ownership of 20% or more in the startup.

The options matter to the Kingdom's growing community of foreign investors and founders, offering clearer, long-term residency pathways tied to real economic activity in Saudi Arabia.
