Saudi Pro League Weekend Draws Record Early Crowds

Football fans across Saudi Arabia are heading to stadiums this weekend as the Saudi Pro League rolls out a full slate of fixtures spanning Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Abha, Buraidah, Khamis Mushait, Najran, Al Hofuf and Ar Rass, marking one of the strongest early-season turnouts in the league's history.

Matches are being staged at leading venues including Al-Awwal Park, Kingdom Arena and Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in Riyadh, King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah and Buraidah, Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium in Dammam, Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Stadium in Al Hofuf, Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium in Abha, Damac Club Stadium in Khamis Mushait, Al Hazem Club Stadium in Ar Rass and Prince Hathloul bin Abdul Aziz Sport City in Najran.

Attendance climbs

The numbers underline growing fan appetite. The 2025–26 season drew more than 1.86 million spectators overall, with per-match averages in the 7,000–8,000 range. Early 2026–27 figures show averages between roughly 7,100 and 8,400, with peak crowds topping 53,000 at marquee weekend games. Fixtures featuring the "Big Four" — Al Hilal, Al Nassr, Al Ittihad and Al Ahli — routinely pull 40,000-plus fans at larger venues.

Kingdom Arena, with a capacity of around 30,000, is averaging above 20,600 early in the season, while Al-Awwal Park (capacity roughly 25,000–26,000) has logged cumulative attendance above 41,000 with match averages topping 20,000.

How to attend

Tickets are sold through the official Saudi Pro League ticketing portal and club platforms. Matchdays run entirely cashless with mobile QR-code entry, and print-at-home tickets are not accepted at turnstiles. General admission for standard fixtures typically costs about SAR 50–100, while premium and VIP seats range from around SAR 200 up to SAR 800 or more for high-demand games. Fans are advised to buy early and arrive with their digital ticket ready on their phone.
