Price differences for steel rebar across the Saudi market narrowed in September 2026 to their smallest reported gap of the year, signaling more stable conditions for builders and contractors in cities such as Riyadh and Jeddah.
Producer quotations placed Hadeed’s 12–32 mm rebar at approximately SAR 2,800 excluding 15% VAT. A wider market assessment reported wholesale and ex-works rebar at roughly SAR 2,450–2,700 while retail prices generally ranged from about SAR 2,850–3,300
A national average for 12 mm rebar in September came in at SAR 3,129.78 down 1.06% from the August level. The narrowing of the overall spread suggests less variation between the cheapest and most expensive offers in the market.
Why the numbers vary
The reported price range depends on several factors, including the diameter of the bar, the producer, order size, delivery location, whether freight is included in the quote, and whether 15% VAT has been added. This is why a wholesale ex-works figure can differ noticeably from a delivered retail price.
For residents planning construction or renovation, the tighter spread can make budgeting easier, but quotations remain commercial figures that may change at any time. There is no fixed validity period, government fee, application process, or official digital channel involved in ordinary rebar pricing. Buyers should always obtain a current, written quotation directly from the producer or an authorized distributor before committing to a purchase.
