Saudi Services Exports Hit SAR 59.5bn in Q2 2026

Saudi Arabia's services exports reached SAR 59.5 billion in the second quarter of 2026, while services imports climbed to SAR 120.8 billion, resulting in a services trade deficit of SAR 61.3 billion.

Compared with the previous quarter, services exports fell 16.5% from SAR 71.3 billion, while imports rose 8.4% from SAR 111.4 billion. On an annual basis, exports declined 4% year-on-year and imports edged down 5% year-on-year.

Travel services remained the largest single contributor to exports, accounting for SAR 33.8 billion, or 56.8% of the total. That underlines the growing role of tourism, business travel, and related activity in the wider services economy.

Why it matters

These figures reflect the flow of services traded between the Kingdom and the rest of the world, from travel and transport to business and professional services. They offer a snapshot of how much the country earns from foreign clients versus how much residents and companies spend on services abroad.

For residents and businesses, the numbers point to strong demand for international services, particularly travel, while showing that inbound tourism and services exports continue to be a significant source of earnings for the national economy.

It is important to note that these are statistical trade values and do not represent any government-service fees. No specific charges related to visas, residency, labour, courts, or municipal services are established by these figures.
