If you live in Saudi Arabia, a single app now handles almost everything related to your health file with the public system: booking appointments, remote consultations, prescriptions, sick leaves, vaccinations, and your full medical records. That app is Sehhaty, the Ministry of Health's unified health platform. If you've used the older Seha app in the past, note that it has been merged—along with the Tetamman and Mawid services—into Sehhaty, so you no longer need a separate app for general use. This guide explains what Sehhaty does and how to get the most out of it.

Who Sehhaty is for

Sehhaty is designed for everyone in the Kingdom, not just citizens. It serves Saudi nationals, residents, dependents, children, elderly people, and people with special needs. You can manage your own health file and the files of your registered dependents from the same account, which makes it practical for families. Pilgrims can also register using a border number to access designated Hajj health services.

What you can do in the app

The app brings a wide range of services together in one place, available 24/7:

  • Booking, cancelling, and rescheduling appointments at health facilities
  • Remote appointments and instant consultations
  • Electronic prescriptions and medication search
  • Sick leaves and medical reports
  • Vaccination records and children's appointments
  • Access to your medical records and digital health-wallet services
  • Dependents' management and women's health services

Getting started: registration and login

Registration and login are done directly through the app. Download the official Sehhaty application, create or sign in to your account, and verify your identity. Once you're in, your dependents and health records are linked automatically based on your national or residency details. Pilgrims who need Hajj-related services can register using a border number instead.

Remote consultations and the 937 line

One of Sehhaty's most useful features is remote care. Instant consultations are available through Sehhaty itself, the Seha Virtual Hospital, and the Ministry of Health's 937 call center, which operates around the clock. Consultations can be done by text, voice, or video depending on what suits you, and an electronic prescription may be issued when it is clinically appropriate—so you can often get advice and medication guidance without leaving home. The Seha Virtual Hospital has grown rapidly, reaching more than 365,000 beneficiaries through 241 connected healthcare facilities.

Fees, validity, and what to expect

There are no published SAR fees for standard Sehhaty registration, appointment booking, remote consultations, prescriptions, or sick-leave access; these are generally provided through Ministry of Health channels. The Sehhaty account itself has no general expiry date. However, the validity of individual items—an appointment, a prescription, a medical report, a vaccination record, or a sick leave—depends on the healthcare provider or the document that issued it, so always check the details on each document. For listed support and service requests, the published response time is up to 72 hours.

Practical tips

  • Keep your contact details updated so appointment reminders and verification messages reach you.
  • Link your dependents early so you can book and manage their appointments quickly when needed.
  • Use text or voice consultations for quick questions and video when a visual check helps.
  • Save or screenshot sick leaves and medical reports, and confirm their validity dates directly in the app.
  • For urgent, round-the-clock health support, call 937.

With more than 31 million users during 2025, Sehhaty has become the main gateway to public healthcare services in the Kingdom. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, always rely on the official Sehhaty application or the Ministry of Health's digital channels.
