King Khalid Racecourse in Taif opens the seventh week of the 2026 Taif Racing Season across two evenings on Friday and Saturday, 4–5 September 2026, featuring 22 races and a total prize fund of SAR 1.7 million.
The week's program is split evenly, with 11 consecutive races held on each evening — the 13th and 14th race meetings of the season. The headline event is the Taif Sprint Cup for two-year-old horses over 1,200 meters, carrying a purse of SAR 350,000.
The seventh week is part of a broader 2026 season that runs from 24 July to 26 September, with race meetings every Friday and Saturday. In total, the season comprises around 20 race nights across 10 weekends, featuring roughly 200 races that mix Thoroughbred and Purebred Arabian competitions alongside Championship Cups, with a total prize fund of about SAR 23 million.
How to attend
Spectator entry tickets are offered free of charge through advance booking on the WeBook application, an approach applied across several weeks of the 2026 season. Race evenings are held at night on weekends and are accompanied by entertainment activities for visitors and families.
The season offers residents and visitors in the Taif and wider western region a regular weekend outing throughout the summer and early autumn, combining competitive racing with free public access.
