TASI Closes Higher for Sixth Straight Session

Saudi Arabia's main stock market extended its winning streak on 25 August 2026, with the Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closing about 0.5% higher for a sixth consecutive session at roughly 11,232 points. The gains were driven mainly by information technology, financial services and utility shares.

By the close, 16 of the market's 21 sectors ended in positive territory. IT and telecom stocks, banks and financial services firms, and energy and utility companies were among the strongest contributors to the day's advance.

The six-session run pushed the benchmark to one of its highest levels in several months, with recent closes ranging between about 11,078 and 11,232 points and daily gains typically falling between 0.26% and 1.13% during the current uptrend.

Among individual movers, Al Rajhi Bank traded in the mid-60s range in Saudi Riyal, often adding around 1% on positive days, while ACWA Power hovered near SAR 200–201 with daily moves of about 3% on strong sessions. Saudi Aramco held in the SAR 26–27 range, occasionally slipping even as the wider index rose. Other notable gainers in recent sessions included Saudi Vitrified Clay Pipes Co., up around 10% on its best day, and the National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia, which rose roughly 9–10%.

Total daily trading value on the main market has recently ranged between about SAR 3.5 billion and SAR 4.9 billion, with more than 100 stocks advancing and a similar number declining on most days — a sign of broad but mixed participation in the rally. For residents following the market, the steady climb reflects renewed activity across key sectors, though day-to-day movements remain varied.
