Toney Hat-Trick Fires Al Ahli Past Abha 4-0

Al Ahli continued their strong start to the 2026–27 Roshn Saudi League season with a commanding 4–0 win over Abha in Jeddah on 22 August 2026, powered by a hat-trick from striker Ivan Toney.

Toney opened the scoring in the fifth minute and doubled the lead from the penalty spot in the 13th, giving the hosts full control early on. After the break, Francisco Trincão added a third in the 51st minute before Toney completed his treble in the 57th to seal the result at King Abdullah Sports City.

The victory, in the second round of the campaign, gave Al Ahli two wins from two matches to open the new season. It was Toney's first hat-trick of the 2026–27 Saudi Pro League and was reported as his sixth in the league for the club.

What it means for fans

The result keeps Al Ahli among the early pace-setters and underlines Toney's growing importance to the side. King Abdullah Sports City remains one of the league's main venues and regularly hosts the club's home fixtures.

Spectators inside Saudi Arabia should note that entry to Roshn Saudi League matches, including Al Ahli home games, is managed through official club and league ticketing platforms. Attendance typically requires a valid national ID or iqama and a digital ticket linked to a mobile number, alongside standard stadium security checks.
