Youth Leadership Training Course Held in Jeddah

A youth training course titled “Youth, Cultural Diplomacy and Leadership Skills Development” was held in Jeddah on 5 September 2026 to mark OIC Youth Day, bringing together young participants and youth affairs officials from member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The course was organized by the Islamic Solidarity Fund (ISF) in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and was coordinated under the chairmanship of the Ministry of Sport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Sessions were held at the OIC General Secretariat headquarters in Jeddah as a hybrid programme combining in-person attendance with virtual participation.

The programme focused on building knowledge and skills in cultural diplomacy and leadership development. It offered a platform to discuss youth empowerment, community development issues, and the challenges facing young people. Organizers said the aim was to strengthen leadership capacities and enable participants to contribute effectively to community development.

Alongside young participants, the course drew involvement from OIC organs and institutions as well as partner international and regional organizations. A coordination meeting held on 13 August 2026 was convened to prepare the programme ahead of the event.

The initiative reflects a growing focus on youth development in the Kingdom, where Jeddah continues to host regional gatherings that connect young talent from across member states. For the community, such courses offer local youth exposure to leadership training and cross-cultural exchange, reinforcing the city's role as a hub for youth-focused programmes in the region.
