The Arab Sports Press Association concluded its first training program in Jeddah on 28 September 2026, targeting young male and female sports journalists from across the region.
Held under the title “Digital Content Creation,” the two-day program ran from 27 to 28 September 2026, following preliminary announcements that had listed 26–28 September. It combined theoretical sessions with practical workshops focused on producing digital sports content.
The program was organized by the Arab Sports Press Association and the Saudi Sports Media Association, in cooperation with the International Sports Press Association. Participants were sports-media professionals nominated by the federations and associations taking part in the Gulf Cup.
The initiative coincided with the Gulf Cup 27 football competition in Jeddah, giving participants a live sporting event to apply their newly developed skills in real time.
For the wider community, the program reflects growing investment in developing local and regional media talent as Saudi Arabia continues to host major sporting events. Equipping young journalists with digital content skills supports higher-quality coverage and expands opportunities for both men and women in the sports-media field.
