Al-Ittihad Beat Al-Nassr 2-1 in Roshn Saudi League

Al-Ittihad defeated Al-Nassr 2–1 on 5 September 2026 in Matchweek 5 of the Roshn Saudi League, in a match played at Alinma Stadium, King Abdullah Sports City, in Jeddah.

George Ilenikhena was the standout performer for Al-Ittihad, scoring both goals for his side. He opened the scoring early in the 4th minute and doubled the lead in the 22nd minute to put his team firmly in control.

Al-Nassr pulled one back through Ângelo Gabriel in the 36th minute, but were unable to complete the comeback and fell to a narrow defeat.

With the win, Al-Ittihad climbed to 11 points and fourth place in the standings. Al-Nassr remained on 12 points in second place despite the loss.

The result underlines the tight competition at the top of the Roshn Saudi League this season, with only a single point separating the two rivals. The clash drew strong attention from fans across the Kingdom, reflecting the growing appeal of Saudi football among residents and expats alike.
