Al Qadsiah stun Al Ittihad 5-1 in Jeddah

Al Ittihad suffered a heavy and unexpected 5-1 defeat to Al Qadsiah in the Saudi Pro League on Thursday, 21 May 2026, in a match played at Alinma Stadium in Jeddah.

The scoreline marked a surprise setback for the Jeddah side in front of their home crowd, with Al Qadsiah dominating the encounter to secure a comfortable margin of victory.

The result carried extra significance given the two teams' earlier meeting this season. On 22 January 2026, Al Qadsiah edged Al Ittihad 2-1 in a match played in Khobar, meaning Al Qadsiah completed a season double over their opponents.

Why it matters

For fans across Jeddah and the wider Kingdom, the heavy loss will spark discussion ahead of the closing stretch of the campaign. Al Ittihad, one of the country's most-followed clubs, now faces questions over form after conceding five goals at home.

Al Qadsiah, meanwhile, will take confidence from a statement performance that underlines their growing competitiveness in the Saudi Pro League. The Saudi Living team will continue to follow developments as the season progresses.
