the East-West Pipeline reached its maximum capacity of 7 million barrels while Aramco's maximum sustainable capacity remains 12 million barrels The company noted it could restore maximum sustainable production within three weeks if requested by the Saudi government.
Why it matters
Stable energy operations underpin much of the Kingdom's economy and the wider goals of the national development agenda. Assurances on supply continuity carry weight for businesses, investors, and residents alike, signaling resilience in one of the country's most vital sectors.
The emphasis on diversified export routes reflects a broader focus on flexibility and preparedness, helping ensure that supply commitments can be met under a range of conditions.
