Aramco has announced a package of new commercial agreements and a memorandum of understanding with French companies carrying an estimated potential combined value exceeding USD 3.7 billion (about SAR 13.87 billion). The deals were unveiled during a French-Saudi Investment Roundtable Meeting in 2026, attended by the company's president and CEO.
The package includes a corporate procurement agreement for drilling equipment and a purchase agreement for Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) — the specialized steel pipe used in drilling and well construction. It also features a memorandum of understanding with Aramco Digital that sets a framework for cooperation in industrial artificial intelligence, virtual and digital twin technologies, and related digital solutions, with potential applications across the oil and gas sector.
the collaborations aim to strengthen Aramco's supply chain ecosystem and boost its resilience, while enhancing operational continuity and efficiency. The agreements are also expected to support project delivery, capacity building, capability development, technology transfer, innovation, and the deployment of industrial AI and digital technology.
The stated value of more than USD 3.7 billion is described as potential and combined across the agreements and the MoU, and no public breakdown of the exact amount allocated to each individual deal has been released. The French counterparties were not fully identified in the announcement.
For residents and the wider business community, the agreements reflect continued momentum in Saudi-French industrial and energy cooperation and ongoing investment in local supply chains and digital capabilities. There are no public application steps, fees, or user-side procedures on any government e-platform related specifically to these commercial agreements, as they are business-to-business arrangements between the companies involved.
