The Saudi Sports for All Federation has launched a nationwide community fitness drive called the “10 Billion Steps” initiative, inviting residents across Saudi Arabia to walk their way toward a shared goal. The campaign began in July 2026 and runs through December 2026.
The initiative sets a collective target of 10 billion steps to be recorded across the Kingdom over the six-month period. Under the slogan “Don’t Count Your Steps, Let Them Count,” the focus is on steady, everyday movement rather than individual performance pressure.
How it works
Participants log their steps through the Saudi Sports for All Federation mobile app, which supports daily progress tracking and allows users to take part in challenges and activities. Every walk, whether a short stroll or a longer outing, adds to the national total.
There is no stated participation fee, and no minimum individual step target has been set, making the campaign accessible to people of all fitness levels. Joining requires only the federation’s app, with no additional government procedures involved.
For communities in cities such as Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, the initiative offers a simple, low-barrier way to build healthier daily habits while contributing to a shared national goal. By turning ordinary walking into a collective effort, it encourages families, friends and coworkers to stay active together over the coming months.
