Civil Defense has issued a weather warning about thunderstorms and possible flash floods affecting several regions across the Kingdom through Friday, September 30, 2026. Residents and visitors are urged to stay alert and follow official safety guidance.
The alert covers the risk of heavy downpours, hail, strong downdrafts, and dust storms. Moderate-to-heavy rain is expected in Makkah, Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Madinah, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, the Northern Borders, Hail, Qassim, and the Eastern Region.
Within the Makkah region, the affected locations include Taif, Maysan, Adham, Al-Ardiyat, Makkah, Al-Kamil, Al-Jumum, Bahrah, Al-Lith, and Al-Qunfudhah. Lighter, moderate rainfall is forecast for Najran and parts of Hail, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, and the Northern Borders.
Safety guidance
Authorities are advising the public to remain cautious, avoid flood channels and valleys, refrain from crossing flowing water, and comply with official safety instructions at all times. Flash floods can develop quickly in low-lying areas and dry valleys, so extra care is recommended during and after rainfall.
For the latest updates, residents can follow the National Center for Meteorology Early Warning System, the General Directorate of Civil Defense, and weather alerts through توكلنا. The warning is purely informational — there are no fees, applications, or administrative procedures involved.
