Commercial Registration in Saudi Arabia: Fees & Steps

Business owners in Saudi Arabia can now complete Commercial Registration (CR) online through ناجز and the Saudi Business Center, with payment handled via SADAD. The pathway covers trade name reservation, CR issuance, and linked steps such as Chamber of Commerce membership and, where relevant, tax and labor registrations.

For a standard company, CR issuance is shown at SAR 1,200. Common company schedules also list SAR 1,000 for partnerships and SAR 1,600 for joint-stock and simplified joint-stock entities. For establishments, the Ministry of Commerce service page shows a SAR 500 fee, with same-day delivery. Renewal or confirmation follows the same fee structure on the Najiz pathway.

A key change concerns validity. Some references describe a CR with 5-year validity, while newer references point to a unified national CR with no expiry date and a required annual confirmation after the new law took effect on 3 April 2026. In practice, this means the current regime is built around yearly confirmation rather than a multi-year renewal.

Fee references vary across 2026 materials. One schedule lists new CR issuance and renewal at SAR 1,825, sometimes rising to SAR 2,100 depending on the service type, with trade name reservation at SAR 200 in Arabic and SAR 500 in English. Because the numbers differ across sources, the live invoice shown on the official portal at the time of payment is the amount that applies.

For residents and entrepreneurs setting up a business, the takeaway is straightforward: the process is fully online through a single ecosystem, but you should rely on the figures displayed on your official invoice rather than any circulated estimate.
