Diriyah Club and Al-Kholood share points in 1-1 draw

Diriyah Club and Al-Kholood played out a 1–1 draw on 26 August 2026 in Round 3 of the 2026–27 Saudi Pro League. The match was staged in Riyadh and kicked off at 21:00 local time.

Al-Kholood took the lead in the second half through Abdulaziz Al-Aliwa, who scored between the 71st and 77th minute to put his side 1–0 ahead. Diriyah Club responded late, with Meshari Fahad Al-Nemer netting the equalizer in the 83rd minute to secure a share of the points.

The single point leaves Diriyah Club with one win, one draw, and one loss after three rounds, sitting in a crowded mid-table. Al-Kholood remain unbeaten with one win and two draws, also occupying a mid-table position.

Why it matters

With multiple clubs clustered within a few points of one another after just three matches, the standings remain tightly packed in late August. Draws like this one add to the congestion, keeping several teams within striking distance as the season builds momentum.

For fans following the league across Riyadh and beyond, the early rounds are shaping into a competitive middle of the table, where a single result can quickly shift positions from one week to the next.
