43 Drivers Open Saudi Toyota Hill Climb in Taif

Forty-three drivers took to the start line in the opening round of the 2026 Saudi Toyota Hill Climb Championship, held at the Al-Muhammadiyah Hill track in Taif Governorate. The round drew a competitive field of licensed drivers racing against the clock up the mountain course.

The event ran on a typical weekend schedule, with practice and qualifying held earlier in the day and the main competition runs stretching from late afternoon into the evening. Only registered competitors in the Saudi Toyota Championship who meet the sport's licensing and technical regulations were eligible to take part, with entries handled through the official motorsport organizing committee platforms.

Prizes and expanded season

The championship offers a strong reward package for this season's rounds. The first-place prize includes a Toyota GR86 MT car, alongside a shared cash prize pool of around 50,000 ريال سعودي divided among the top category winners. For 2026, the series has expanded to multiple hill-climb legs, including Taif and Al-Baha, with a unified prize car and a consolidated cash pool

Spectators could attend from 20 ريال سعودي with higher-priced categories available for VIP or family sections where offered. Tickets were issued through the official event platform, and standard attendance did not require any additional government service applications. Tickets were valid for the specific event day and session only.
