Expo 2030 Riyadh and Mohammed Al Habib Real Estate Company (MAHR) have signed a joint‑venture agreement valued at SAR 3.2 billion to develop and deliver Expo Village, a new integrated residential community in northern Riyadh. It is the first joint venture for Expo 2030 Riyadh and forms part of wider infrastructure work linked to the Expo site.
Expo Village is planned as an integrated residential district featuring around 2,300 apartments with capacity for approximately 5,500 residents. The development will include retail and dining outlets, leisure and community amenities, services, and operational facilities within the neighbourhood.
The village will be directly connected to the Expo 2030 Riyadh site through Expo Station on the metro network, and linked to King Khalid International Airport and the wider Riyadh transport network. During the event, it is designed to host international delegates, before transitioning into a permanent residential community in northern Riyadh after the Expo concludes in 2031.
How the partnership works
Under the agreement, Expo 2030 Riyadh provides strategic oversight, defines project requirements, and aligns the village with overall Expo planning and legacy objectives. MAHR is responsible for the development, investment, and operations of Expo Village, drawing on its experience as a Saudi real estate developer.
The SAR 3.2 billion figure represents the capital committed under the joint venture for development and delivery, not unit sale or rental prices. Detailed pricing for apartments, retail leases, or residential rents has not yet been published as of September 2026, and no public fee schedules or end‑user procedures specific to Expo Village have been officially detailed.
Described as a long‑term legacy project, Expo Village is intended to generate economic opportunities and sustained value beyond the event period, adding new housing capacity to northern Riyadh as part of the city's broader development plans.
