Investors and enthusiasts wishing to establish falcon breeding centers in Saudi Arabia can now complete the entire licensing process online, with applications reviewed within five working days,
The licensing mechanism is overseen by the National Center for Falcons in coordination with the National Center for Wildlife Development. Applicants begin by submitting a request through a dedicated electronic platform for wildlife licensing services, selecting the "falcon breeding center" activity and entering their applicant and project details.
How the process works
After submitting the online request and uploading the required documents, a specialist reviews the file for completeness and compliance. The application is then forwarded electronically to the competent department for final approval. Once approved, the applicant pays the licensing fee through the platform's integrated payment channel, and the digital license is issued for download and printing directly from the platform account.
Required documents include a completed electronic application form, a breeding-center project plan covering operations and capacity, environmental impact assessment documentation based on the project's classification, a site map with technical details of the proposed location, applicant identification (national ID for individuals or commercial registration for entities), and proof of land ownership or a valid lease for the site.
The workshop stressed that the core breeding-center license is managed entirely through the specialized wildlife licensing platform, so no physical visit to a government office is required once the account is active. Other platforms may still be used for related services such as commercial registration, municipal permits, employment contracts, or digital identity verification. The wider falcon licensing system also offers electronic falcon passports and online services for the import, export, and trade of wildlife.
The move reflects the Kingdom's push to simplify official procedures for a growing community of breeders and heritage enthusiasts, making it faster and easier to launch and manage licensed falcon activities.
