Petro Rabigh Names Hassan Al Yami President & CEO

Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Company (Petro Rabigh), a Saudi joint stock company listed on the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) under ticker 2380, has appointed Eng. Hassan bin Hamad Al Yami as its new president and chief executive officer. The company's board of directors approved the decision on 23 August 2026, with the appointment taking effect on 1 September 2026.

The move follows the resignation of the current president and CEO, Othman bin Ali Al Ghamdi, for personal reasons, effective 31 August 2026. Al Ghamdi will continue to serve as a member of the company's board of directors after stepping down from the executive role, ensuring continuity at the leadership level.

Al Yami brings more than 30 years of experience in the refining and petrochemical sector. His career includes serving as vice president of Saudi Aramco's Ras Tanura Refinery, along with senior positions at Aramco affiliates inside Saudi Arabia and abroad.

Why it matters

Petro Rabigh is one of the Kingdom's major integrated refining and petrochemical operations, and leadership transitions at listed industrial companies are of interest to shareholders and the wider business community. The change was disclosed through the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) as a standard listed-company market disclosure.

This is an internal corporate governance decision reported to the market, not a government transaction. It does not involve any public-service platforms, and there are no fees, procedural steps, or validity periods attached to it for residents or companies. The disclosure remains part of the company's continuous record until any future leadership update is announced.
