Tarek Ghazzawi has been appointed HR Centre of Excellence Director at Saudi Power Procurement Company (Principal Buyer) in Riyadh, taking up the role in July 2026 at the company's headquarters in Al Aqeeq District.
Ghazzawi moves into the position after serving for around two years as Total Rewards and Performance Management Manager at the same company. His new remit is broad, covering human capital strategy, strategic workforce planning, organisational development, rewards and performance management, talent management, succession planning, culture, and employee engagement.
The role is based at the company's headquarters on Conference Street 1, Building 6393, Al Aqeeq District, Riyadh 13519.
Why it matters
Saudi Power Procurement Company plays a central part in the Kingdom's energy sector as the country's principal buyer of electricity. Strengthening its human resources leadership signals continued investment in workforce development and organisational capability at a key national institution.
For professionals across Riyadh's growing corporate landscape, appointments of this kind reflect the wider emphasis on human capital and talent management that is shaping many Saudi organisations. The Centre of Excellence model brings together strategy, performance, culture, and succession planning under one function, aiming to build long-term capability rather than focusing on day-to-day administration alone.
