New Chairman for Local Content, Procurement Authority

A royal order issued on 13 August 2026 appointed Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as chairman of the Board of Directors of the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority in Saudi Arabia.

Under the same order, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef was relieved of the chairmanship of the Authority's board.

The Local Content and Government Procurement Authority plays a central role in strengthening the share of local products, services, and workforce across government contracts and purchases. Its work supports the wider national push to grow domestic industry and expand opportunities for Saudi businesses.

For residents and the business community, the Authority's mandate touches areas such as supply chains, procurement standards, and encouraging companies to source and produce locally. Leadership changes at the top of such bodies signal continuity in the drive to raise local content targets in line with rؤية السعودية 2030.

No fees, application steps, or online procedures are associated with this appointment, which is an administrative change at the board level.
