Saudi Arabia's Energy Ministry said a fire that broke out at Aramco's Jazan facility on the Kingdom's west coast has been brought under control, with no injuries reported. Aramco's industrial firefighting teams extinguished the blaze,

The ministry did not disclose the cause of the fire and did not provide an official estimate of the damage. Authorities also did not confirm whether the incident had any impact on production at the site.

The affected complex is the Jazan refinery, a major facility with a processing capacity of 400,000 barrels Its location on the west coast makes it one of the significant industrial installations in the region.

Background

Earlier reporting had linked the site to an attack on July 25 that was claimed by Yemen's Houthis, with damage said to have affected the IGCC complex and the tank farm.
