50 Harley Riders to Visit KAUST Community in August

Around 50 Harley-Davidson riders from the Jeddah Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.® Chapter) are set to make a community visit to KAUST on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, showcasing their motorcycles and meeting campus residents in Thuwal, Makkah Province.

The ride begins with a departure from Dahban at 7:00 p.m. The group will roll through KAUST neighborhoods starting around 7:45 p.m., before finishing at KAUST Marina, in the area next to Al Marsa Yacht Club.

A relaxed community gathering will follow at the marina from roughly 8:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., giving KAUST residents the chance to view the bikes up close and chat with the riders in an informal setting.

Visitor and access notes

KAUST is a gated campus with controlled visitor access. The general public campus visit program offers one guided tour Sunday to Thursday, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with booking required at least 48 hours in advance through the KAUST Visitor Center. Visit queries are handled via the Visitor Center email.

All vehicles entering KAUST, including motorcycles, need either an RFID sticker or a temporary vehicle permit issued through KAUST Security e-Services. Riders must hold valid vehicle registration, a valid driving licence, and proof of insurance, with a minimum of third-party motor insurance required for any vehicle on campus roads. Drivers must be over 18 and comply with seat-belt and mobile-phone rules.
