How to Register a Company in Saudi Arabia Online

Entrepreneurs and investors in Saudi Arabia can set up a company entirely online through the Ministry of Commerce's Saudi Business Center platform, which handles the most common structures: limited liability companies (LLCs), joint stock companies, and simplified joint stock companies.

The process is completed electronically. Applicants log in through نفاذ, while investors without a Saudi ID or residency can use the dedicated investor access option. During the application, founders select the company type, registration duration, headquarters, business activities, partners, capital, and management structure, and submit the company contract or bylaws.

All partners must approve the incorporation request electronically using a verification link and code. Once approved, payment is made by bank card or SADAD. The Ministry of Commerce service fee is SAR 200 for a main commercial registration and SAR 100 for a branch. The total can be higher depending on applicable licenses, activity approvals, municipal requirements, and other government registrations.

Licenses and regulated activities

Some activities require a license or preliminary approval before incorporation can be completed, including activities regulated by the Saudi Central Bank. After payment, a commercial registration is issued, and applicants can check the request status and print the registration details online.

Why it matters: a clear, digital path to company formation lowers the barrier for residents, expats, and foreign investors looking to launch a business in the Kingdom. Just note that validity depends on the registration duration you choose, and after incorporation the company must still complete registrations with the relevant government entities tied to its activity.
