Jeddah Airport Expansion Partnership Extended

Jeddah Airports has extended an existing partnership on 23 September 2026 to continue supporting the transformation and expansion of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, in a move set to advance one of the Kingdom's largest aviation development programmes.

Under the renewed agreement, the partnership covers programme management, integrated planning and controls, governance, digital delivery, sustainability, and the coordination of terminal, airfield, and airport-wide projects. Project-management consultancy is being provided across more than 100 capital projects at the airport.

The programme is designed to increase airport capacity, strengthen operational resilience, improve sustainability, and enhance the overall passenger experience — priorities that directly affect the millions of residents, expats, and pilgrims who travel through Jeddah each year.

Building Saudi expertise

The agreement also places a strong focus on developing local talent. It includes knowledge transfer, mentoring, and structured training for Saudi aviation professionals across programme controls, engineering, commercial management, digital delivery, and sustainability.

For the community, a modernised and higher-capacity airport promises smoother journeys and expanded facilities over time. No specific contract value, fees, timelines, or public application procedures were disclosed as part of the announcement, and the partnership does not introduce any new government-platform process for travellers.
