Jeddah Corniche Road Renamed Prince Khaled Al-Faisal Road

Jeddah Municipality has approved the renaming of the city's Corniche Road to Prince Khaled Al-Faisal Road, in a decision taken on September 22, 2026. The change applies to one of Jeddah's most prominent thoroughfares along the waterfront.

The renamed road stretches approximately 17 kilometres. It runs from Al-Nakheel Street in the north to Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Road, widely known as Tahlia Street, in the south.

The decision is a municipal naming measure. No fee, application, validity period, or government-service procedure is linked to the change. There are no permits, payments, or digital-service steps that residents or businesses need to complete as a result of the new name.

What it means for the community

For residents and visitors, the practical impact is limited to the road's name. The route, its location, and its access points remain unchanged. Over time, signage and mapping references are expected to reflect the updated name, so drivers may notice the new label appearing gradually.
