Travelers flying through Jeddah should check their departure terminal carefully, as King Abdulaziz International Airport is moving flights that previously operated from the North Terminal to Terminal 4 and the Hajj and Umrah terminals under a phased plan.
Phased operations at Terminal 4 began on September 27, 2026. For the remaining North Terminal flights, the transfer is scheduled to take effect from October 17, 2026.
The airlines identified in the transition include Wizz Air, AJet, SalamAir, Fly Jinnah, Nesma Airlines, Akasa Air, SyrianAir, Pegasus, Azerbaijan Airlines, and Tunisair. Passengers booked on these carriers should confirm their exact departure point before heading to the airport.
Terminal 4 spans approximately 97,000 square meters and is designed to handle up to 15 million passengers each year, adding significant capacity to one of the Kingdom's busiest airports.
What travelers should do
Because the move is being carried out in phases, departure terminals may differ depending on the airline and flight date. Passengers are advised to verify the departure terminal directly with their airline or the airport before traveling to avoid confusion on the day of travel.
