King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah will begin phased operations at Terminal 4 on Sunday, 27 September 2026, marking a gradual shift of international airlines into the new facility under an approved operational plan.
The first flights to operate from Terminal 4 will belong to Wizz Air, AJet, and SalamAir. The rollout then continues on 28 September, when Fly Jinnah moves from the Hajj and Umrah Terminals complex B3 and Nesma Airlines moves from the North Terminal. On 29 September, Akasa Air flights transfer from complex B3. On 1 October, SyrianAir and Pegasus move from the North Terminal, followed by Azerbaijan Airlines and Tunisair on 3 October. Additional foreign carriers will relocate in later stages.
The new terminal offers duty-free shopping, banking and financial services, connectivity services, and everyday passenger travel essentials, aiming to give travelers a smoother departure experience.
What travelers should check
Passengers are advised to review their airline booking notification and the airport flight information before heading out, and to use Terminal 4 only if their flight has been transferred there. SalamAir has asked its passengers to arrive at least three hours before departure. Confirming the correct terminal in advance helps avoid confusion during the transition period.
Travelers should also note that an international departing passenger facility charge of SAR 175
The phased transfer is a straightforward airport update: it does not involve any Absher, Muqeem, Qiwa, Najiz, Nafath, Balady, Tawakkalna, or Etimad procedure or validity period. The key action for the community is simply to double-check the departure terminal before every trip during the rollout.
