L’Oréal is broadening its footprint in Saudi Arabia, opening a new corporate office in Jeddah in 2026 that will serve as a hub for workforce growth, professional training, and sustainability-focused beauty initiatives across the Kingdom.
The company plans to double its Saudi-based workforce by the end of 2026, with young Saudi nationals expected to make up more than half of the local team. At present, L’Oréal’s operations and value chain generate an estimated economic contribution of about SAR 3.2 billion and support roughly 8,700 to 8,800 jobs in the Kingdom.
Training and women’s empowerment
A central pillar of the expansion is vocational training. L’Oréal is growing its network of professional beauty academies, including the opening of its fifth hairdressing academy in Jeddah in 2026. The company aims to certify around 1,000 Saudi women by 2029 and reports job placement rates of about 70% for women who complete certification.
The wider strategy centers on what the company describes as purpose-driven beauty. Alongside women’s empowerment, it includes support for Saudi entrepreneurs and the local creator community in beauty and content creation, plus sustainability efforts such as promoting refillable products and “refill movement” campaigns.
Saudi Arabia is now positioned as L’Oréal’s largest beauty market in the Gulf and a key regional growth engine. The expansion aligns with the goals of Vision 2030, including economic diversification, greater female participation in the workforce, and more sustainable consumer habits — offering new training pathways and job opportunities for residents interested in the fast-growing beauty sector.
