L’Oréal has expanded its presence in Saudi Arabia with the opening of a new office in Jeddah in 2026, alongside plans to double its Saudi workforce by the end of the year. The move underscores the Kingdom's position as the largest beauty and personal care market in the Gulf.
The company said its Saudi operations contribute SAR 3.2 billion to the local economy and support more than 8,700 jobs. Alongside the new office, it launched its fifth professional hairdressing academy in Saudi Arabia, located at the Jeddah site, with training programs linked to local universities. The academy aims to certify more than 1,000 women by 2029.
Training and workforce development featured prominently in the expansion. The company grew its "Beauty for a Better Life" initiative in the Kingdom, allocating more than SAR 600,000 and expecting 100 graduates in 2026. The program prepares women for careers as beauty advisors, adding to opportunities in a fast-growing sector.
L’Oréal also widened its sustainability efforts through the "Join the Refill Movement" campaign, promoting reusable and refillable beauty products in Saudi Arabia. A newer market initiative, L’Oréalistar, is running across the Kingdom and the wider Gulf to support digital creators.
The developments come as the Saudi beauty and personal care market continues to grow. A 2026 estimate valued the market at USD 7,417 million, with growth of 5.2 percent forecast for the year. For residents and job seekers, the expansion signals more employment and training openings in cosmetics, hairdressing, and retail across the Kingdom.
