Makkah welcomed Saudi National Day 96 on 23 September 2026 with a wide program of artistic, entertainment, heritage, community, and sports activities organized by Makkah Municipality across shopping centers, parks, walking tracks, heritage sites, and public spaces throughout the city.
At Al-Naseem Walkway in the Al-Naseem district, residents gathered for a national parade featuring the Saudi ardah, national songs, and artistic stage performances, alongside family activities, flowers, gifts, and hospitality. The nearby Al-Naseem artistic stage hosted evening performances on 23 September, running from the afternoon until 11:00 p.m.
Community celebrations extended across several neighborhoods. In the Al-Zaydi area, a flag-raising ceremony was accompanied by the Saudi ardah, folk performances, national gifts, and hospitality. Al-Saraya Mall offered children's activities, live shows, games, and gifts, while Bahrah Municipal Park was dressed in national decorations for public activities. Al-Umrah Walkway welcomed visitors with Saudi coffee, hospitality, festive lighting, and National Day decorations.
Sports fans took part in Makkah's first bowling tournament at Saud Plaza, held from 15 to 22 September 2026. Heritage lovers could visit the Museum of the Crafts of the First People, which presented traditional crafts, folk heritage, a folk troupe, interactive theater, workshops, and educational competitions, scheduled for 11–15 Rabi' al-Thani 1448 AH.
The broad spread of free-to-enjoy activities across historical sites, parks, and walkways gave families across Makkah a chance to celebrate the national occasion close to home, reflecting the community spirit and heritage that mark National Day for residents and visitors alike.
