Monsha'at, STC Bank Launch SAR 5bn SME Financing

منشآت (Monsha'at) and STC Bank have signed a cooperation agreement to provide a Shariah-compliant financing portfolio of up to SAR 5 billion dedicated to micro, small and medium enterprises across Saudi Arabia. The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Money 20/20 conference in الرياض in September 2026.

The portfolio targets enterprises operating in a range of economic sectors, as part of wider efforts to strengthen the SME ecosystem and raise its contribution to the national economy under رؤية السعودية 2030. Officials describe the initiative as a dedicated digital, Shariah-compliant financing channel for smaller businesses, rather than a walk-in branch-only product.

What the program offers

The agreement provides a financing program with short-, medium- and long-term facilities. These include both cash and non-cash facilities, with tenors of up to 10 years. Funding covers working capital and operational needs, including asset and equipment purchases, contract and project financing, and financing against point-of-sale proceeds.

The program also includes support for e-commerce businesses, invoice and receivables financing, business credit cards, supply chain financing, and trade finance services delivered through guarantees and letters of credit. All products offered under the agreement are Shariah-compliant.

For business owners across الرياض, جدة and other cities, the portfolio signals expanded access to formal financing, an area many smaller firms have long found difficult to navigate. As of mid-September 2026, detailed customer-level information — including profit rates, fees, collateral requirements and pricing tiers — has not yet been published, and application steps and digital channels for this specific portfolio have not been announced. Monsha'at continues to deliver its broader SME funding initiatives through its SME Support Centers in الرياض, جدة, الخبر and المدينة, alongside partner banks and fintechs.
