KSrelief Funds Monthly Support for Djibouti Orphans

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) signed a cooperation agreement at its headquarters in Riyadh in September 2026 to fund monthly support for orphans in the Republic of Djibouti. The agreement was signed with the charitable association for orphans care in Hail Region “Rifaq”, which will help carry out the project on the ground.

The project focuses on covering the basic needs and care of orphans in Djibouti. direct beneficiaries are estimated at 400 individuals, while indirect beneficiaries reach around 1,600 people, including foster families who care for the children.

Under the agreement, each orphan receives monthly financial support of USD 80. At an exchange rate of roughly USD 1 to SAR 3.75, that equals about SAR 300 The support is intended to ease economic pressure on foster families and help strengthen family stability.

The agreement also includes a clothing (kiswah) initiative to cover the orphans’ clothing needs, along with purchase vouchers distributed through a contracted commercial partner, reaching the same 400 direct and 1,600 indirect beneficiaries.

Why it matters and how to help

For residents in Saudi Arabia who want to take part in KSrelief programs, including international orphan support, the primary official channel is the Sahem electronic donation platform. Sahem supports electronic payments such as cards and online payment methods, and allows recurring monthly donations for those who wish to give on an ongoing basis.

The announcement describes the project’s scope and beneficiary numbers but does not specify a defined validity period or end date for the monthly support. It also does not outline application steps for foster families based in Djibouti. The USD 80 (about SAR 300) monthly amount and the clothing and voucher components remain as announced.
