Northern Borders Region is set to host a three-day Saudi National Day celebration from 23 to 25 September 2026, with activities spread across the region's cities, governorates, and centers. The program brings together family entertainment, heritage displays, and community events at more than 130 parks and recreational areas prepared by local municipalities.
Main regional activities include children's theater, a circus area, and inflatable games zones aimed at families, along with national and entertainment segments featuring the Saudi Ardah dance and documentary film screenings. Cultural, recreational, and social programs will run across the region throughout the three days.
Heritage at Historic Linah Market
South of Rafha, Historic Linah Market will stage heritage-focused National Day events over the same period. The lineup features performances by local and international artistic groups, solo musical acts, equestrian and camel riding displays, puppet shows, children's competitions, and a musical evening of traditional songs.
Fireworks in Arar
Arar is among the cities hosting National Day fireworks, scheduled for 9 p.m. on 23 September 2026 as part of nationwide displays. Previous celebrations in the city have used Water Tower Park as a key viewing site. Park and public-venue programs across the region generally run from late afternoon or early evening until around midnight during the National Day period.
The announced events at parks, municipal venues, and Historic Linah Market are public celebrations, with no paid ticketing tiers or set prices specified. No mandatory online pre-registration or paid booking is required for the children's theater, circus, inflatable zones, heritage performances, or the equestrian and camel displays. The events are organized through regional municipality and governorate authorities and national cultural and event bodies via official government channels.
