Riyadh Set to Host Esports World Cup 2026

Preparations are continuing across Riyadh, Jeddah, and Qiddiya for a series of international sports and esports competitions, with the Esports World Cup 2026 emerging as a major highlight for the coming year.

The Esports World Cup 2026 is scheduled to take place at Boulevard Riyadh City in Hittin from 6 July to 23 August 2026. Tickets are being sold through webook.com, with an all-seven-weeks pass listed at SAR 1,500. Week-specific passes are available across a range of prices, starting from SAR 39 and reaching up to SAR 960, giving fans flexible options depending on how many weeks they wish to attend.

Chess enthusiasts also have something to look forward to, with a Chess at ENC 26 ticket listed in Riyadh at SAR 250, alongside discounted prices shown at SAR 199 and SAR 79.

Why it matters

The lineup reflects the Kingdom's growing role as a hub for global competition and its expanding calendar of large-scale events. In Qiddiya, venue construction and planning for international competitions were reported to be progressing as scheduled.

For resident families planning to attend, documentation may be needed. The Muqeem report service is available through Absher for a fee of SAR 29, valid for 30 days from issuance. The service requires a valid Iqama, an Absher digital ID, and sponsorship linkage to the beneficiary. It is offered 24/7 through Absher and has also launched on Tawakkalna, making it easier for residents to obtain the paperwork they may need.
