A national data and artificial intelligence infrastructure now integrates information from more than 60 Saudi government entities while keeping each entity's data stored within its own systems, enabling secure sharing without moving sensitive records out of official environments.
The integration runs through a National Data Bank ecosystem that includes a National Data Lake and a National Data Catalog, hosting more than 100 terabytes of data drawn from over 60 government bodies and hundreds of government systems. The setup allows organized, secure data sharing that feeds analytics and decision-making through the Estishraf national insights platform.
Interoperability across platforms is handled by a Government Service Bus that connects more than 200 entities, supports over 240 integrated services, and processes around 4 billion transactions a year. This layer links major national platforms including نفاذ for digital identity and single sign-on, أبشر for Ministry of Interior services, Balady for municipal services, قوى for labor-market services, Etimad for government finance and procurement, and ناجز for justice services, alongside توكلنا for general service access.
These platforms rely on shared identity and data-sharing layers but keep their operational data within their respective systems. The DEEM government cloud provides secure, scalable services underpinning part of the infrastructure. By mid-2026, more than 370 government systems are reported as integrated into national data indexes and lakes, with connected entities exceeding 60.
For residents and businesses in الرياض, جدة and beyond, the setup means faster, more connected digital services — from identity verification to permits and payments — while a national open data platform makes thousands of non-confidential datasets available and keeps sensitive records inside government systems.
